For Canterbury

What this means locally.

The Canterbury branch exists to organise local supporters around the same national programme: borders, order, liberty, lower taxes, and a direct challenge to bureaucratic failure.

Local Priorities

What the branch is going after.

Identify local decline

Canterbury's high streets, public spaces, roads, and water infrastructure have suffered years of visible decline. The branch will document and expose the deterioration — closed shops, broken pavements, crumbling roads, burst water mains, and the creeping neglect that local politicians have ignored or presided over.

Expose the scale of the asylum system

Kent sits on the front line of the channel crossing crisis. The Canterbury branch will identify the true scale of asylum accommodation, dispersal, and cost in the local area — and expose the risks that have been deliberately hidden from residents by councils and central government alike.

Challenge council priorities and public spending

Canterbury City Council spends public money on vanity projects, diversity initiatives, and bureaucratic bloat while core services crumble. The branch will interrogate council budgets, challenge wasteful spending, and demand that every penny of public money serves the interests of local residents first.

Identify schools pushing harmful ideology

Parents have a right to know what their children are being taught. The branch will identify local schools that are indoctrinating children into harmful gender ideology or anti-nativist racist teachings, and will campaign to restore an education system rooted in truth, standards, and national pride.

Our Roadmap

Where we are and where we are going.

Restore Britain is a brand new party being built from the ground up — and that includes our branch. In just three weeks the party's membership has already overtaken the Conservatives. There is a lot to do, and we have already started.

Establish the branch

We have only just launched and our inaugural meeting will be on 30th April. This is the starting point — establishing the branch, setting direction, and bringing local supporters together for the first time.

In progress

Recruit branch leadership

We have a designated Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary. We are still looking for volunteers willing to take on the challenge of Campaign Manager and Membership Manager. If you have the drive, we want to hear from you.

In progress

Meet members in local wards

We are arranging pub meetups in local wards to meet members and discuss local issues and wider concerns. No formality, no lectures — just honest conversation about what matters to people in Canterbury.

In progress

Develop infrastructure

We intend to be as data-driven as possible. Our goal is to expand membership and spread the message through iteration and collaboration. We value our volunteers’ time and will not waste a second of it through inefficiency. We will use the latest advances in AI and software development to accelerate our goals.

Next

Mass FOI campaign

We will send hundreds of targeted Freedom of Information requests to find out the truth about the state of Canterbury — including KCC, Canterbury City Council, Kent University, and local schools.

Next

Investigate and expose

  • Hold South East Water to account over repeated supply failures, burst mains, and crumbling infrastructure — find out where the investment has gone.
  • Identify the impact of mass immigration on housing demand, rent increases, GP waiting lists, and Canterbury hospital wait times.
  • Find out what is being done about city centre congestion, how much is wasted on ineffective solutions, and how parking companies are profiting from absurdly high charges.
  • Investigate the grants and planning permissions behind the vape shops, Turkish barbers, and phone repair outlets replacing historic shops across our high street.
Next

On the ground campaigning

We intend to spread the word to residents of Canterbury and have meaningful conversations about the state of the country and our city. We will listen, and where we have the ability we will take action to pressure councils, schools, and universities to act.
